UCLH Grafton Way Building

London, United Kingdom

The University College Hospital Grafton Way Building houses one of just two NHS proton beam therapy centres in the UK.

Project overview

MJ Medical provided healthcare planning and medical equipment procurement services for UCLH NHS Trust’s multi-phase central London estate redevelopment. This included the provision of London’s first Proton Beam Therapy unit.

We developed granular demand and capacity models, assessing the current and future clinical activity against the hospital’s growth projections and various different care model options. We went on to develop a full clinical design brief, support the business case and design development process, and manage the equipment procurement and installation on behalf of the Trust.
