We are a team of people who want to contribute to the design and development of the very best healthcare buildings possible. We believe that good healthcare design facilitates the best care, helps alleviate suffering and pain, and supports people in times of sadness and joy.

We place clinical functionality and patient experience at the forefront of our consideration. To this end, from care model development to staff engagement, from data analysis to design team co-ordination, we work hand in hand with the wide array of stakeholders that a healthcare project depends on to succeed. We research, listen, discuss, challenge, and record, bringing our experience and expertise but valuing the inputs of others equally.
Our history
MJ Medical started life with three consultants.
Over the past 35 years, the company has grown to become a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare planners, economists, architects, engineers, data analysts, procurement specialists, and clinicians, drawing on global experience spanning 75 countries and 400 hospital development projects.

MJ Medical was started in 1986 by three consultants who had the idea of providing integrated design and equipment advice to hospital development projects.

The company's early years were spent working on major new hospital development projects in the Middle-East.
Our team sees significant growth, supporting aid agencies and multi-lateral development banks implementing major healthcare programmes in developing and post-conflict countries.
With the advent of the Public-Private Partnership model, MJ Medical's focus on hospital projects in the UK increases significantly.
The company's service offering expands to offer full healthcare facility design.
